Article Processing Charges (APCs)

To support open access publishing and ensure that all articles are freely available to readers worldwide, the Journal of Advanced Electrochemical Storage (JAES) follows a Gold Open Access model. This means that the costs of publication are typically covered through Article Processing Charges (APCs) paid by the authors, institutions, or funders.

APC Waiver Period

To encourage high-quality submissions and support the global research community, JAES is pleased to announce that:
• All Article Processing Charges are fully waived until 31 December 2025.
• Authors can publish free of charge during this promotional period, regardless of geographic location or funding status.

What the APC Covers

Once the waiver period concludes, the APC will be used to cover:
• Editorial management and peer review services
• Typesetting, formatting, and digital publication
• Long-term archiving and open access hosting
• Indexing in major scientific databases and discovery platforms
APC rates after the waiver period will be published on the journal’s website in advance and will remain affordable and transparent.

No Hidden Fees

JAES does not charge for:
• Submission
• Color figures
• Data or supplementary materials
• Corrections or retractions

Funding and APC Support

Many research institutions and funders support open access publishing. Authors are encouraged to check with their institutions or funding agencies for APC support or reimbursement.
